Kim is a classically trained pianist with a wide repertoire in classical, new age, and jazz music, and has experience in solo performance and accompaniment. She has studied under the tutelage of classical pianist David Moroz for the past 12 years, and graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Performance from the University Of Manitoba School Of Music in 2006.
Kim has years of formal piano recital experience dating back to 1993. Over the years, she has placed 1st or 2nd in multiple piano solo categories in the Winnipeg Music Festival including 20th Century Composer, Classical Composer, Romantic Composer, Baroque, Piano Solo Sonata, and Piano Solo Concerto. Kim won the prestigious Concerto Competition of the University of Manitoba School Of Music in 2005. She has won multiple scholarships at the university and high school levels.
Kim is also an accomplished flautist. She currently studies flute with Dr. Michelle Miller, and has performed at the Winnipeg Music Festival and the Syrinx Festival. |
